Starting today – and if you’re near Ann Arbor, Michigan – you can check out the first new brand STA Travel store in the U.S.

New STA Travel Store in Ann Arbor

Located on the ground floor of the Michigan Union on the campus of the University of Michigan, the new look Store is celebrating a new location as well after moving down the hall from the original location next to Ugo’s convenience store to space that was previously occupied by the Barnes & Noble-run bookstore.

The move from the original location due to the University’s desire to expand the size of Ugo’s, gave us the opportunity to implement the new brand at one of our top campus locations.

“The University of Michigan is one of our premier store locations and this move allowed us to introduce our new brand at the Store level to some of our best customers,” said Scott Hyden, president of STA Travel.

Of course, you probably noticed that the new STA Travel logo and brand were introduced on STATravel.com in May after our 30th Anniversary celebrations in April. The new Web site incorporates content from our social media communities, offers inspiring travel guides and has an expanded selection of hotels and hostels.

To celebrate the opening of the new STA Travel store, there will be raffles each day of the first week the new store is open.

Monday, June 8: A trip to see the pyramids in Egypt.

Tuesday, June 9: A $200 voucher good on tours from STA Travel.

Wednesday, June 10: Two $150 vouchers good for any product from STA Travel.

Thursday June 11: Tour packages for London, Paris and Amsterdam, not including airfare.

Friday, June 12: Two global cell phones and a Eurail pass

The hours, phone number and address of the new Store remain the same.

Store Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for Wednesday, when the store is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, when the store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
